Research development

Support from proposal to dissemination

  1. Develop the proposal

Methodology consultation and literature-review support sit alongside academic supervision from experienced practitioner-researchers.

  2. Consider ethics before data collection

The Research Director conducts the initial review of proposals. The level of review reflects participant characteristics, data sensitivity, potential harm or distress, and ethical complexity.

  3. Undertake and communicate the work

Research support includes statistical and qualitative analysis mentorship, publication-pathway guidance and writing accountability groups.

Research connected to practice

SPARC’s remit is to advance clinically relevant knowledge, support ethically governed practitioner-led inquiry and translate research findings into improvements in therapeutic practice and public understanding.

Research-led continuing professional development can support research literacy, critical engagement and clinical reflection grounded in evidence.
