IoPP’s faculty brings together experienced psychotherapists, clinical sexologists, medical practitioners, lecturers and researchers. Our teaching is grounded in current professional practice, thoughtful scholarship and the reflective development required for ethical specialist work.

Simon is a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, COSRT-accredited Clinical Sexologist and accredited clinical supervisor. A qualified higher-education lecturer, he teaches directly across IoPP’s programmes, including clinical sexology, relationship therapy, formulation, complex and forensic presentations, and clinical supervision. He has taught on postgraduate COSRT-accredited psychosexual training programmes and previously lectured in psychology and criminology at the University of Hull.

Laura is an experienced counsellor, psychosexual therapist, supervisor, lecturer and researcher. She has worked as a counsellor since 1996 and as a trainer since 1998. Alongside directing IoPP’s research and the COSRT-accredited Level 7 Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy, Laura provides hands-on teaching in psychosexual and relational practice, research literacy, critical thinking and reflective clinical development.

Ben is a GP, men’s-health physician, sexual-medicine specialist and COSRT-registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist with more than 15 years’ clinical experience. Trained at Cambridge and UCL, he also holds a PhD in men’s emotional and sexual health. His teaching integrates biomedical, psychological and relational perspectives on sexual functioning and complex sexual difficulties.

MBBS, MRCGP, COSRT Registered

Kahverry qualified in medicine at the University of East Anglia and is a GMC-registered GP and COSRT-registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist. With specialist interests in men’s health and psychosexual medicine, she teaches students to integrate contemporary medical knowledge with relational and psychological understanding.

Justine is a registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist with a BSc in Equine Science from the University of Limerick, postgraduate training in clinical sexology and couples psychotherapy, and two years’ training in Group Analysis. She facilitates student process groups, supporting clinical reflexivity, self-awareness and learning through the group experience.

Liz is a psychotherapist, psychosexual therapist, intimacy coordinator and mental wellbeing practitioner. Her training includes Relate’s Level 5 specialist qualification in relationship therapy, alongside psychosexual, systemic, psychodynamic and trauma-informed practice. At IoPP, she facilitates course processing groups that help students integrate learning and develop self-awareness, confidence and ethical practice.

William is a Tavistock-trained Family Practitioner and trainee Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. Alongside his clinical training, he supports IoPP’s day-to-day operations, student administration and programme coordination, helping enquiries, applications and course processes run smoothly.

Trudy is a highly experienced clinician and course assessor who previously served as Chair of COSRT’s Board of Trustees. She brings extensive clinical, professional and governance experience to her independent assessment and quality-assurance role at IoPP, supporting fair and consistent academic standards across our training programmes.
